Last year in conversation, a distinguished American author said to the Canadian president of the international Atlantic Salmon Federation: "Did you know King has never tried drugs?" "I don't either," was the reply. Like everything, there are always exceptions. I would't expect any difference from a John Deere man! King, was that another of your imaginary conversations with equally imaginary influential people... much like the one where several Roman Catholic clerics told you that they don't believe in the Resurrection????... except that you couldn't give us their names to verify that wild claim??? For a guy who claims to have never used drugs, your mind seems toasted enough that Oscar Gaddy could've used it in a crucible to case harden shotgun parts.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

Legalising any mind or mood altering drug is just another ploy by the liberal socolists to get control. So should we ban alcohol? Seems to me the temperance movement was driven by a bunch of feminist communist types. So, the socialists want to ban drugs or they want to legalize drugs. Which is it jOe? Can't be both.

....Yes, many of us did have job interviews etc. And still partied. Are you suggesting you never imbibed?
And to your other post, as a resident of a country about to legalize pot, Im no fan of it. But I dont think we should be wasting a lot of resources trying to prohibit it. Please show me where that works. Just one more thing the government should piss off about. Yup cback, I drank like a fish in college. I don't think I was one of those grumpy drunks, just a silly kid. I sort of moved on, but it never occurred to me to bork someone I was going to hire when I got drift that they might be some whiny progressive. Where'd I go wrong? There is the libertarian view of recreational pot use, but you might recall that little back and forth Bill and I had about his home state? There's no doubt in my mind that marijuana is a gateway drug to the worse sorts of misery. Ask Bill, there's some big social welfare medicaid initiative being spammed on MT TV right now for the upcoming elections. Wasting resources? Get 'em hooked on abusable drugs first, then on entitlements next cuz they're sick, eh? Spending money helping(?) those who have ruined their lives with drugs is an entirely different subject. One worthy of discussion perhaps but it's dumb to conflate the two issues. Tell me how effective overall and cost effective specifically banning pot and other recreational drugs have been. Seems to me we've wasted a bunch of money, anyone who wanted to do them does them and we have created, by allowing the black market to exist, the richest, most powerful criminal organizations in history. Yeah, that's been real good policy. LOL

The gospels are filled with inspiration, knowledge, myths and misrepresentations, innocent and otherwise. My father was accepted into Catholicism not believing in the resurrection and infallibility by senior clerics in our university town known as the Little Vatican or Little Rome. Not unusual in a faith where a word at last breath absolves all sins as pathway to another life. A son would dishonour his father by not telling the truth of his spiritual life.

Save the false bullshit story for someone who knows nothing about Baptism and converting to Catholicism, King. What you claim is not only unusual, but it would be anathema to the foundation of the Catholic Church, or any other Christian religion. So give us the name and phone number of even one senior cleric at St. Francis Xavier University who doesn't believe in the Resurrection, and who would Baptize an adult convert who said that out loud, during the questions pertaining to faith in the basic tenets of the Church, directly preceding his Baptism. And what would be the point of converting in the first place... to a religion that celebrates the Resurrection during Communion at every Mass? Why would someone who felt that Jesus was a mere mortal wish to participate in something he felt was a fairy tale? By repeating this bullshit, you have dishonored your Father either way, because if it was true, you'd be telling us that he lied when answering the questions preceding Baptism. An adult convert answers those questions himself. The ONLY other possibility would be if he was incapacitated and Baptized when he was in an unconscious state. I do not believe that your Father lied, or was unconscious, so that leaves one other possibility. You know what really isn't unusual? For Liberal Left Socialists to tell lies in order to advance their agenda. We saw that numerous times last week during the disgusting display the Democrats put on in the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings and vote. We had Blasey-Ford claiming PTSD from alleged attempted rape, including fear of passenger jet cabins, when she had flown in small private aircraft. She claimed that she needed an extra door in her home because of claustrophobia, when the real reason was to violate zoning laws and rent out part of her place. We had Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal lecturing Republicans about the importance of honesty, when he had lied about serving in Vietnam. And still, none of Kavanaugh's multiple accusers has filed charges with police in a State with no statute of limitations on attempted rape. Shall I repeat all of the other lies and hypocrisy that none of our Libtards could explain? And here's a link to a time when you let your guard down and admitted that Liberals lie for the (Socialist) faith: King Justifying Liberals Lying -- post #389019

Well stated! My family and I are Traditional Catholics (but not St Pius X Society). My wife is a convert and she never had any priest tell her it's okay not to believe this or that on any Church teachings. As the saying goes, you take the whole loaf. In short, if she didn't accept what the Church taught, they didn't want her to convert until she did and above all believed what the Church teaches in her heart. It's all spelled out in the CCC.
Best,
Greg
