Tom,
Do the ejectors have the serial number stamped on them? I wonder if somebody took out the extractor and put in ejectors. All Remington extractor 94s have the blank spot in the forend.

Not all 94's have their mainsprings fitted so that they also function as ejector trips as well. You could fit you FE with hammers, sears, and springs only to find that the guns mainsprings do not protrude far enough to serve as trip levers. Does your 94 have a split extractor? Did it leave the factory as an ejector gun?

Robert,
I don't have any idea how the gun left the factory. The gun does have split extractors in it presently.

Are you still in need of the parts? Of course many 94's came with extractors even though the FE iron was milled for possible ejectors. It sounds as though your gun was once an ejector gun, so maybe you'll get lucky and the ejectors will work without a lot of fitting. Another good indicator, assuming the FE is original, is the for end wood. Has it already been inletted for the ejector springs and hammers? If so, you're probably on the right track. Split extractors and inletted wood are a good indicator of how your gun left the factory.

I think I know the gun you recently acquired. Did you purchase it from Houston, TX?

Daniel
