Funny but I just picked up a Henry SLE shotgun, very good gun but a bit of a mess at the moment. It will be getting a new stock soon as well as a new hinge pin and and an overall clean up.

I agree that Henry rifles were every bit the quality of Best London work. I feel Henry and Lancaster both are under valued on the market. Truly Best work that often goes over looked.

Remember that OQ takes care of quality of gun independently of who's name is on it. I had enough close auction comparables (OQ and CC very similar) for BV1, BV2, and BV3 to feel very comfortable placing Henry in BV2. For three comparable guns for OQ and CC, we can say a BV3 = $1, a BV2 = $1 1/2 and a BV1 = $2. That is to say if you found comparable Henery and Woodward guns you could expect the Henry to have 3/4 of the value of the Woodward (or Boss, H&H, or Purdey).
