Would anyone know who the initials TR belong to in a barrel making context? For reference only, followed by "H6275" which is not the serial number.

English SLE, approx. 1922 vintage, London proofs but likely built by the trade in Birmingham. Sorry, should have elaborated. Ha.

Numbers starting with an H were found on guns made by Holloway and Naughton for others.

Thanks, Daryl. I did some research and the complete dearth of information on Holloway SLE's makes it hard to compare.

The 1st Birmingham R mechanic that came to mine was Rose Brothers but I don't know their 1st names. What 'bout Thomas Robinson of 8 Court, Lovelady Street, Birmingham? Not sure if he was active in the 1920s?

I should clarify that the gun is nominally a Leech & Sons, but it is my understanding that he only bought finished guns from the trade.
Thomas Robinson is a good potential lead, I will see what else I can find on him.

All right then, let's toss some credit toward Thomas Russell of 8 Court, Lovelady Street, Birmingham then? He was involved w/ tubes. There just aren't a lot of mechanics with initials TR from Birmingham.
Cheers,
