John, the guy who started the post isn't the importer or broker. The OP is the final recipient and not a signatory on form 6. Borderview is the importer or broker. They would fill it out. Gil

There has to be a From 6. The form 6 can not be filled out by the broker unless they have an ffl. If not then a ffl dealer must be used. It will not clear customs without one. That is why it is probably hung up.

GLS: Remember I have a class 8 import license and have had it for 45 years. So I think in have background in these type of events.

John, you asked the OP if he had a form 6 filled out. He said "no". That doesn't mean one wasn't done. No one is arguing with your expertise as an importer just your interpretation of what was done without being involved in the transaction. I'd be willing to bet a Form 6 was filled out by the importer. Two months ago I had Borderview import a gun for me and I never had Form 6 filled out, but apparently Borderview did. Do you see the difference?

Here was my question.

Did you have a filled out form 6? That did not me him, I was asking if one was or had been done. He said no. Maybe that is where the confusion is. I did not know that the broker was an ffl importer at that time. But they should have the 6 then. If there was no 6 at the time, that might be way it was held up. Maybe they forgot to get it.
When my guns come to customs they are cleared in one to two days.

No Iam am FFl person..Just a person try to get my SXS. Shotgun I order in Dec.2017 and still don't have it..I will never buy a sporting firearm this way again..Matter fact I never received an invoice for transaction..
