Good news..I spoked to Ms.Kerra this morning and she me that my shotgun is in the states and would be my FFl dealer within a few weeks..But I would have to pay the import fee, which is no problem. So I will have Christmas prize after a year. This is the reason I want to become a FFl broker..So if any of you FFl broker
can give any advice ...I have the application and will call ATF tomorrow and start process..But thank you again..

Glad to hear that you will finally get your gun. Good for you.

Just wondering on your last post this statement:

I have the application and will call ATF tomorrow and start process..

Are you saying that you need to complete the form 6 as it has not been approved by Washington yet?

Hi big_al1, this is Joel from BORDERVIEW International Firearm Logistics. Thank you for taking our call yesterday; we're glad we could finally report to you that we received the approved ATF Form 6 Import Permit back for your gun, after several months of waiting. As Kerra explained, we received the approved Form 6 just a few days ago, and as of last night I picked up your gun from our Canada Office, declared it through U.S. Customs, and it's now safely at our U.S. facility. From here it'll be shipped to your designated local FFL for transfer to you.

In looking over your previous posts and concerns, it's clear you've been waiting a very long time for this gun! As we received it to our Canada office at the end of July, unfortunately I cannot say what happened for the first 7-8 months after you purchased it. But, as others on here have mentioned, Bilozir is a well-known dealer of fine firearms, so I'm surprised to hear that and imagine that if you contact Will he can give you better background on what exactly transpired during that time.

Nonetheless, when we received your firearm we got to work on the requisite paperwork, of course including the Form 6 mentioned by another licensed importer on this thread. Unfortunately, the wait time on those is very much out of our hands, with some coming through in just a couple weeks, and occasionally others taking several months. Unfortunately, yours took a bit longer than usual (we normally quote 2-3 months total start to finish). We're now at 3.5 months since receiving your gun, but thankfully with the recent approval will be able to have it to you in plenty of time for your nice Christmas prize smile

As GLS and canvasback on here report from their own positive experiences with Borderview, our wait times are typically less than you experienced. And, it's clear that the real majority of your wait was long before we even received the gun. I'm not sure where you heard that the gun was sent to ATF in Seattle as that is definitely not the case. As John (arrieta2) points out, their local offices like that are generally not set up to hold guns (but actually, their Technology Branch on the east coast does regularly take in imports for further hands-on evaluation when a 'Conditional Approval' is granted, but that's not the case here).

There's a lot of misinformation here on this thread, which is somewhat understandable given the complexity of modern firearm imports/exports. But, I'm sorry to hear and know that you were so in the dark about the status of your gun, from the other few times we spoke to you by phone to provide an update, we did not realize your level of concern. Of course, we're so glad now to have your gun almost into your hands - where it belongs! Thanks again, enjoy your beauty when it arrives!

P.S., for anyone interested in more of the nitty-gritty details about importing a firearm from Canada to the United States, here's a re-post of an article I wrote for the much-loved Canadian Access to Firearms newspaper a couple years ago (which will be re-printed with some updates again in the coming months): https://www.borderview.com/blog/because-...-united-states/

James, absolutely glad to have the chance to engage here with you fine folks. Appreciate your support and business, always happy to help out however we can with imports whether just answering questions from our experience here on the forums, or doing a full-service export/import either direction between the USA & Canada. Cheers, Joel
