We were up early making the final preps for a big turkey dinner (that's lunch to the rest of y'all) for the family and daughter in law's family. Two turkey breasts are about to go on the grill, table's set, and the "high chair" awaits. This is a very special day for us. One year ago our youngest son, who is 41 and has two teenage boys, announced that the "high chair" would be called into duty once more. We were ecstatic a few months later to learn that it would be a girl ...................more specifically, the first girl child born to a man of my direct line in 97 years!! Kate Louise was born July 25, healthy as can be. The old "high chair" won't be used by her today, as she's still too young for it, but will be at future get-to-gethers.

Blessings to you all on this special holiday. May your larders be full.
