SKB, I do pretty much all of my mammal hunting with singleshots. Either BPCRs or muzzleloaders. Rarely, an old Marlin lever gun. This year, I killed a couple of antelope with an .38-72 1885 Winchester and a .38-55 Marlin 1893. Was out after squirrels this morning with my favorite singleshot, favorite gun of all time. I'd post a picture, but le fuse might blow. smile
