I was researching different things, so my notes on the guns from this period are general and sketchy. But I can tell you for certain that number 7246 was sourced from Webley and Son in 1887. For more info you would need to contact the archive in Glasgow and request the page, but that's what I can determine from my notes. There was no mention of anything from Wilkes. This was one of Webley's "A&W" guns that you see in the Webley catalogues from the era.
