My wife and I bought this old Ansorg Landau double barreled gun from our neighbor for our son for Christmas. We have a few questions about it and wanted to share some pictures of it in hopes that some of the experts here could tell us more about the gun.
1. Would anyone know where we might look to acquire the missing left hammer for the gun, or where we might go to have a replacement hammer made if a replacement is unavailable?
2. Will the marks on the gun tell us where and when the gun was made?
3. Can we obtain ammunition for the gun and will it be safe to fire the gun?
4. Is it wise to clean this gun up, or should we leave it as-is?
5. Any idea what this gun might be worth? We could not find pictures of one like it on the internet and local gunshops/gunsmiths say they have never laid eyes on one before this one.
