jOe, you know a lot about guns - and you are a contrarian who enjoys pricking balloons - both statements are true. In this case though you're wrong and are just tilting at windmills. I've posted two Reilly pigeon guns above both of which have 3" chambers, both made within a year of 24534:
This one 23355, Weight 8½lb., 14 3/8 in. pull (14& 1/8 in. stock), 32in. barrels, approx. 5/8 & ¾ choke, 3in. chambers, original black powder proof - London nitro reproof, advertised at the time as a "Best Gun" - sold 18 May 2017 for £ 4,750 (US$ 6,055) inc. premium::

This one 24365 has identical specs to 24534 with 31" Whitworth barrels, 3" chambers, black-powder proof, 7 lbs 10 oz, also advertised as a "Best Gun." It sold in August 2018 for £ 1,895 (and it apparently had some serious bore problems and a cracked wrist in the stock).
24534 is a fine gun in very good condition; it's worth what someone will pay for it and it is a true Pigeon gun from a company known for Pigeon guns.
