I thought I was content with my 28� 20s for the uplands but I recently picked up a 30� 20ga Arrieta and have been impressed with the balance and feel. It�s only been to the range so far but I have high hopes for next season. It�s barely 2oz heavier than my 28� 20s.

A DGJ article on the long-barrelled Widgeon Duck Club DHEs started me down this path. Since moving to Idaho, my days of navigating the tight quarters of grouse and woodcock thickets are minimal. Most of my �covers� are now miles and miles of open space so I figured I�d give longer barrels a chance.

I�m contemplating a 30� 20ga Model 21 as a clays/high volume shooter. Anyone shoot one? I�d welcome some pics!

I had a 30 in Mdl 21. Choked full and full. Couldn't hit a damn thing with it. Nothing against the long barrels. In fact have a 30 in 20 ga RBL being prepped for me now. Good luck in your search.

I inherited a Parker 20 ga. with 30 inch pipes F-F. My great GF had ordered it for waterfowl in 1914.

I never could hit much with it until I restocked it to my dimensions and started rolling spreader loads for it. I now use it for sharptails and sage-grouse in the big open a few times a year, usually a spreader in the first barrel and a regular load in the second.

Save even more serious money by going to Cabela's and buying the Dickinson 20 gauge with 30 inch tubes for $1595. There is one here in Albuquerque. I bought its little brother in 28 gauge with 30 inch tubes for the same price and love it. I have already used it quite successfully on quail. It is also going to be tested on wild pheasants this October in South Dakota.

BTW, this one here has a straight English stock with checkered butt.

MyGSPIzzy, the long barreled sub gauge Model 21's set the standard for cool Winchesters.
Only about 100 30" 20 gauges were ever produced.

I purchased this 2 barrel set from its' original owner. 30" Full and Full, 26" WS1/WS2.
In 1947, little Anne Mudge and her father walked into A & F in New York and
picked out this 2 barrel "Skeet" set so they could hunt Quail and Duck together.

Find what you want, buy it. Had a friend use a 21, 12 ga. for Sporting Clays for many years. He did have a problem with the hanger working loose with the big beaver tail fore end. Fairly easy repair. He shot tens of thousands of rounds so most average shooters would never have this problem.

The last time I stopped by Boise Gun Co., before they went belly up, they had a Model 21 20-gauge Magnum with 30-inch barrels. Didn't see it in the liquidation auction.
