Mike C. says his friend paid DT $2900 for the "same job" I had done for $970.00. I would expect that $2900 bought some barrel bluing, stock work, etc to get up to that figure. I thought the $970 was high, but the result was astounding, and there is no fear of warpage. If something warps, I will not know about it since it will all be fixed before I get the gun back. That, and a Turnbull receipt makes it worthwhile if the gun is important to you. I see no problem using any reputable case hardening person, but assembling the gun after hardening is not something I want to do. Whatever they charge to do that is worth every penny. I suspect that there are case color people out there who are not using heat sink blocks fitted for most popular guns, but I would want to think that anyone I would use would have them. Bill Murphy
