Without asking the manufacuturer, I am not sure anyone can advise you. The safe answer is no steel unless the makers tell you otherwise. I would be very surprised if they did say it was okay. Building for steel shot usage is not as common other places as here in USA. Answer will depend on steel used in barrels/thickness and choking. If the guns have screw in chokes they should be steel shot designed too. Risking these guns is a bit more expensive than risking a Remington 870 express.
