The video which came up for me did not use a hammer or punch. A new oversize hinge pin was fitted & then the hook fit to the new pin. Did not look particularly Fast or Cheap to me, & should be long-lasting if properly fit & finished.

For Fast & Cheap, best method I am aware of is a shim in the hook.
