I have only had 2 porcupine dog incidents, both with the same dog. Neither required a vet visit, leatherman did the job. Once she only picked up about a dozen quills and the other time maybe 60 or so. We were far out in the field both times. The second time I ended up the worse off as she bit me while I was pulling quills from the roof of her mouth. Never slowed that dog down a bit. She would go after about anything, Coyotes, raccoons, opossums, one skunk too. The most driven dog I have ever been around. She kept things interesting that is for sure. I miss her daily but I have her off spring to soothe the pain.


I need to replace my EMT gel but that stuff works great on k9 lacerations.
