Hoping to get a little closer than what I assume would be 1902-1925. No date stamps and records are impossible to get. Hoping you guys might be able to catch something I missed.

Looks like 1925 Proof Rules. That is 1925 to 1954 ( Chamber length is marked from '25 on).

I would say between 1904 and 1920 No sword dates Birmingham used date stamp of five different types: the first from 1921 to 1941 BUT as stated above Chamber length. From 1925 only in inches, http://www.shotguns.se/html/uk.html

Looks like 1925 or later because of the chamber length . . . although odd that the little Birmingham date code mark is missing. (However, the photo is dark enough that it could be hiding somewhere.)

The gun is an Alfred Davis out of Ilford, 1925 or later makes sense, the Davis shop was recorded in Ilford from 1912 to roughly 1933. The only issue I have is I purchased a Davis catalog described as being from 1925 and this model isnt in that catalog. So Im assuming the catalog year is wrong and most likely from an earlier year if the proof dates are most likely from the mid to late 20s. Thanks guys!
