I'd be hard-pressed to name a favourite: the one I use most successfully in the field and blind, or the one I look at with most nostalgia.

Even that doesn't cover it properly. One for this and one for that. They're all favourites to me. I guess that's why I bought them.

This is my favorite rifle, today, just spent most of the day at the range with it trying to keep the wind from blowing my bullets around.

My favorite SxS's are the ones that I own.

There are two guns that I'm currently enjoying the most right now out of all the SxS's that I own. One was returned a few months ago from being restocked, and it fits me very well and is a pleasure to shoot. The other is my most recent acquisition, so I'm still enjoying the newness of the gun. Here's a link to pics of both of them. MSN's web site is behaving a bit on the strange side. If you see a link with an "X" in it click the thumbnail or title, and the pic should be there.

OWD, Terry (excellent side lever), thanks...

Terry, I have a high admiration for Grant as well. I told my wife when I bought it that I would have to eventually get an Atkin and a Lang too. Not doing so would be like buying part two of Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" without getting part one "Fellowship of the Ring" and part three "Return of the King".

I got a long contemptuous stare that only a wife can give.

Hrenegade, that won't work on her. She is not into fashion or anything like that.

Actually, she really can't or would not deny me from buying another gun because she has her own expensive hobby: arabian horses. We alternate making purchases for our hobbies. Even if she didn't have the horses, she still would not deny me buying guns. She's a great woman and wife, and I consider myself very lucky to be married to her.
