I rarely suffer from gun envy (gun lust being a different deadly sin), but I have a severe case of gun envy after seing that Ballard. What a magnificent rifle. Does is shoot as beautifully as it looks?

It's taken some work but the rifle can be very accurate at both 100 and 200 yards.

MP that's an amazing rifle...maybe Lowell will post a target from his favorite gun.

I wouldn't have believed that of a 30-calibre.

Thanks I’ve been shooting Schuetzen rifles for a lot of years and enjoy the control I have over everything save the powder and primer. The rifle came with a mould that did not fit the rifle so my good friend made me a mould for my birthday (now know as the birthday bullet) to fit the rifle. I cast the bullets, segregate and weigh them, make the lube and when the conditions are right everything falls into place. This group was shot using a 20X Unertl scope in a light rain with little to no wind. My friend who made the mould was watching me and after the first five, which was just one little hole ask me what the heck I was doing seating another bullet into the rifle, figured five would be enough, at about the seventh or eight he could not look anymore, knew I was going to blow it, and went inside.

I've done some rifle-shooting competitively but yours take the cake. Thanks also for letting us in on your story about your friend. I'd have left after five.

Yep.......Its still my Dickson. I feel very lucky that this gun has some how come into my stewardship for the forseeable future.
