When I first became interested in doubles, SSBB was a good forum. It was about the time the RBL launch edition was coming out, and there was a lot of discussion on wait times, wood quality vs expectations, etc. Now you can check it once every few months and not miss anything.

The board devolved sadly.
I leave it to others to identify the causes.

Yep, there was a dust up when the ssbb administrator started censoring people with a conservative viewpoint. Many of the regulars left and started their own board. That was the beginning of the end of the SSBB.

The content decline started about the time that the investment counselor builked some of the members out of a few million dollars.
Then, there were a couple members who had their collections stolen, after displaying them, and the high dollar gun owners quit providing free content to the website. And then finally you have The poison of politics.
No Sportsmans website focusing on a narrow niche, can survive with predominately political postings.
The divisions are two great, and the canyons are too wide, and it drives people away.
So, lose your content contributors, provide a form for your membership to line up on either side of an imaginary line, and the results are inevitable.
Out there doing it best I can.

The parody board that spun off from the original SSBB was hilarious. Didnt last long though.

And then finally you have The poison of politics . If you think that is bad there are a couple of members here that are hockey fans. One is constantly disrupting threads by mentioning this ridiculous sport. This member recently mentioned Brad Marchand (a no good, dirty, Nova Scotian rat) and got a gentlemanly discussion about our founding fathers shut down. Another is a fan of a team in a large city in Kwee-beck. This type of person would take the last beer or sea urchin in the snack bowl. __________________________ Dont get me started on the golfers.
