If you had read the opening post in the thread, you'd know it was a SxS.(that's the action type). It also asks about how to make it open easier. Any gun that breaks open involves similar contact points: a hinge (pin, ball or trunnions), matching surface on the barrel assembly and a forend. Forends have a part called forend iron that bears against the front of the action. Get the picture yet?
Quite possibly you are not able to help in the diagnosis.
