Along with a chamber cast and a slug from the bore will reveal which variant of the 8.15X46R cartridge the German set trigger rifle is. It looks to have been proofed/proved in June 1927. There are a few marks to the right of the caliber, date and house number which I can't really see and might reveal the maker. I'm curious, what screws did you have to turn to remove the wood? Any idea what your friend is asking for the rifle?
