Yes, whatever became of Mr. Lamboy and his Ithaca Classic Doubles- did those guns go the way of the Parker Reproductions? Foxie

Not nearly as many of them made as Parker Repros, RWTF. He initially had problems with the barrels and actions that were being made in Italy. They came to the States with a lot of work to be done before the guns could be finished. He finally switched to barrels made in Germany and actions--I think--in Holland? Those very late ICD's were really nice. But it was not such a good time in terms of the economy.

Started all 3 of my boys with Stevens 311�s in 20 gauge. Great all around guns, built like a tank, American made and simple. They�ve all developed a taste for good bird dogs and fine light bird guns with 2 barrels and 2 triggers...God is good.

Good on ya! My boy received a Mossberg Youth 20 gauge from the estate of a very good friend. It fit him at about age 12, and he has shot it a bit. Now 13, he will graduate to his Grandfathers Beretta Silver Snipe, in 12 gauge. The stock is just a bit too long as of today, But, that will change.
