I'm pretty talented with wood...I was told by my late gunsmith friend I should get rid of all my screw drivers.
I still have them...just about every time I pick one up I'm reminded of what he said.

Helping someone remove the stock on an old side by side.
I have a variety of turn screws that fit the slots perfectly, but cant seem to turn the screw under the lever at all and I dont want to tear it up
Any tricks? You might try tapping on the screwdriver with a light mallet - not beating on it but tapping it enough to break it loose from what ever might be sticking to it.

Voting for anti-gun Democrats is dumber than giving treats to a dog that shits on a Persian Rug

Best, Ted No Special Ed Ted..The broken Versa Vise he repaired never broke he used it till his death.... Ed Mason was a master gunsmith he could fix most any part of a gun beyond detection. Ed's remark came after seeing a screw I had buggered. I guess you never buggered a screw on a gun ?

I was first contact if someone had a broken Darne in this country, and the jobs I couldn't handle went to Kirk Merrington. Lots of guys right here, have my work in their gun safe. Id bet money the late gunsmith saw the screwdrivers with the pink handles you got from Lowes and figured he better save you from yourself. Bet he was a nice guy. What did he do to deserve you? Best, Ted
