I'd like this dispute to be settled once and for all. Dave, will you please offer some explanation how posts here that show fine work together with the craftman's web address or offers of instruction in the craft cause you harm or diminish the site in some way? For me, these posts are among the very best information this site offers, and the obsessive response of Keith is ruining this whole experience. He seems to be a one-man censor here. If that is your intention, why not just say so and be rid of all us who are fed up. Let Keith and jOe chat with each other here in complete privacy.

....will you please offer some explanation how posts here that show fine work together with the craftman's web address.... Once and for all, why don't you ask him to pull up a chair and chat for a bit about the fine part you mention, instead of predicting what stirring up causes? Instead of adding in that last comment, what about sticking in another shop picture?

Instead of adding in that last comment, what about sticking in another shop picture? No predictions needed Craig, it was laid out in the first of twelve consecutive responses. Something about a phone call or some such. I can not blame you for not reading through the repetitive posts. Steve

Boy, I do like seeing how layout lines are used and reapplied as the stock takes shape. Nice pictures.

My only question is that it looks like Steve uses a milling machine for carding his rust blue. With all the spindle oil, way lube and cutting fluid I have to use on my Bridgeports, they are literally covered in oil; and we all know that oil will quickly ruin a rust blue job.
My bluing/CCH is in a separate room from the machining operations, just for this reason.
So, how do you keep oil off the carding wheel?
