I had looked into some low-pressure from RST and they weren't that low-pressure, not that I would shoot anyway. I was looking for loads around 8,000 psi. and under. Out of curiosity, JDW, what did you think the 16 ga RST pressures were? I, too, have it from RST that their 16 ga 1 oz shells test out at 1145 fps and 6600 psi though I was told their 7/8 oz shells are 1100 fps and 6400 psi.
Always looking for small bore Francotte SxS shotguns.

Randall a while back, late last year before they came out with the paper shells, I inquired by phone call about their 2 1/2" 20 ga. shells and if they were low pressure under 8,000 psi. I awas informed that they were higher than that around 9,000+. I wasn't interested in the 16 ga. because I reload 16 ga. Didn't want to go through all the hype to reload 20 ga. low pressure because I have a few cases of regular loads. I just wanted a few boxes for a few old L.C. Smiths 20 ga. I have.
I bought some Gamebore shells in 2 1/2" 20 ga. and they might me a litlle higher than I want.
I quess now they have low pressure shells, but are they just in paper?

Best be careful with those 1300+fps English game loads, because they may kick crap out of you!  Oh, by the way, the larger the bore the denser the pattern and lower the pressure.  PS. I tried those old RSTs of NH and they had pleasant kick, but were not better then Winchester extra light target loads which could be bought for less $.

JDW - no, the 16 ga data given above is for RST's plastic 'best' 16 ga shells.
I have not inquired about, nor shot, any of their paper shells - I'm perfectly happy w/ their plastics.
As you're undoubtedly aware, what's considered 'low' pressure for a 20 ga is not necessarily applicable to a 16 ga.

Armusa has some really low pressure short 16 and 20 loads, but no current US distributor that I know of. Able Ammo in TX had some Armusa on their website a few weeks ago, but it may just be leftover inventory from the previous distributor. Worth a call. The good news is that the Armusa hulls are Cheddite and are very reloadable.
