I am here for a few days. Is there a gunshop worthy of taxi fare expense?

Best,

Mike

I live about 20 miles upriver of LaCrosse. Of the 3 shops mentioned, Monsoors has the best guns. Just up and accross the river in Winona, MN is a shop called Mainstream. They have quite a few guns and an occasional sleeper.

Second the recommendation for Mansoor's. Not a lot of sxs, but always a few, and usually a bunch of OU's. Also sometimes some very good deals on reloading components.

Monsoors was worth the cab fare. They had a couple of Ithaca single barrel trap guns (4E), one for $1500. It had had the stock shortened and pads added etc.. Also had nice 12 ga Winchester Model 23 for $2,400. They also had a really high gade Remington 32 for 8k. It had a 100& engraved receiver with gold dogs and pheasant and ducks and a knockout piece of wood. I don't know much about 32s but it was nice. Had two Kreighoff 4 barrel sets, one was a plane grade 32 and the other a K80. Don't remember the prices.

I didn't buy anything but I sure enjoyed looking around.

Thanks again for the tips.

Best,

Mike
