Sounds like you guys in the South and Southwest have it good on the dove shooting!

I headed to South Idaho for the first time ever to hunt doves with a friend and we hunted mainly Russian Olive windrows that bordered cut wheat stubble. Day one was decent (best day ever for me), but not nearly the volume you guys see, with the second day a bit sketchy, where we scratched down 14 birds.

Over the two days, I shot a 20 ga Fox Sterlingworth, a Remington 1900 in 16 ga and a 16 ga Belgian O/U.

More often than not, here in N ID, the temperatures have dropped by opening day to where there aren't many, if any, doves that haven't migrated out.
