I had my winchester 23 heavy duck measured on friday.

Left bore .727
left choke .717

right bore .733
right choke .723

Is this common? Before I had bores checked I just assumed IC and Skeet from measuring the choke only and the pattern board supported that in my mind. The left barrel patterns tighter than the right barrel on the pattern board. The left also is about 3" right of center at 40 yards, but has not seemed to be a problem shooting sporting, skeet, etc.

I have never mic. my HD. I just noticed that it didn't shoot what I thought an F&F should in that gun. I'll dig it out and see what I find. I'm afraid it won't be right away though.

Finally got around to measuring the HD Model 23. I had a friend do it as he has the 12 ga. tools that are accurate. Both bores are .731 and both chokes are .037.
I haven't patterned that gun, but now my curiosity is up and I'll do so some day. Though when I've shot it nothing seemed amiss. ; > ) Hope that helps.
