Last week, I took out a bunch of guns, including my new sxs 410, and shot at a private range. I was about to join this club with trap, skeet, rifle and pistol ranges. That's on hold.

Last night, my wife got a text from our neighbor about 8 doors down the street (150 yds). She and her husband tested positive. She's asymtomatic, he's symtomatic, not doing too well, but not hospitalized. Their two young daughters (~14 & 8) are negative. Her parrents, visiting from out of town, are also positive. Her parents may have brought it from their air travel. But we don't know for sure, since (she) neighbor lady is a nurse at a local hospital.

To complicate things, the family (nurse and two girls, at least) is very lax about any guidance pertaining to Covid. They have been letting their daughters have sleepovers at their house as well as going to other homes. They had just invited us, two days ago, to attend a party for the birthday of one of the daughters (which my wife had declined).

The street I live on is 180 yds long and has about 18-20 houses. There has been daily unprotected socialization between several of the young kids, including the impacted family's daughters. We've had a daily dog play and happy hour daily with another neighbor, who's daughter plays with the impacted family's youngest daughter. We do sit apart, outside in the front yard and maintain precautions. The mapping of Covid I've seen has shown very little activity in our suburb city in the southern California sprawl of the greater Los Angeles area.

My wife cares for her 89 year old mother 4 days a week. We're going to get tested and quaranteen, then retest, so as to protect her mother. Things change quickly.
