During regular production, the .410-bore and 28-gauge Superposeds were only made in standard weight and weigh the same as a similar standard weight 20-gauge. It certainly appears they were made to be skeet guns matching the 20-gauges in weight and balance with field choked guns almost an afterthought. My three skeet guns, all with 28-inch barrels, each weigh within a fraction of an ounce of 7 pounds. My 20-gauge Lightning, 28-inch barrel, skeet gun weighs 7 ounces less.
