I own Bacon gun #324 but I consider it too frail to shoot.I treat mine as strictly a collectors piece.In 1998 Christies sold two bacon guns #56 & 184 these were sold as black powder proof, which means they were in proof and safe to shoot with the appropriate loads. [ex: Yannaghas collection.] Recommend you have your gun inspected by a competent gunsmith prior to considering firing.The British Shotgun Vol, 1, by David Baker, contains an excellent write up on the Bacon shotgun.
