49, I think I would definitely second the motion to get those barrels inspected and measured up properly with bore dia. , amount of choke and barrel wall thickness, before deciding if they are safe to shoot and with what type of load. That chamber length and those proof marks just don't sound right for the gun. At the very least the gun sounds out of proof.

Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid,than open it and confirm.
