I bought some Ren-Wax on the recommendations of several on the board. I can't say it has done anything to justify the cost, for me. I wipe my guns with a flannel rag containing Sheath, usually, and have had no rusting problems. Ballistol seems to show some promise, as well. My perception is that the wax disappears shortly. If I was going out to shoot in the rain, I'd probably apply a wax but shooting in the rain, deliberately, is not in my daily plan.
