Joe: I didn't say the centre of the U.S. I said the centre of the world. When I was learning the only keys to punch were either on a piano or a typewriter (manual). Hope you make it to Columbia.

Best Regards, George

AHHH! Another naysayer. I am told the guns are coming from estates in England, Europe & the U.S. HOS if you had ever visited a London gun auction I believe that you would know the difference.

Best Regards, George

AUCTION UPDATE - As to the Gentleman's Sporting Sale scheduled for December 8th, 2007, the catalogues are now available from Charlton Hall's web site: http://www.CharltonHallAuctions.com and should soon be online as well. Ron Long and Hermann Sommersett are in charge. I am told that Diggory and Michael shall be there for the previews beginning on the 5th, and shall host a "cocktails and conversation get-together" on the evening of Friday the 7th. I have seen many of the fine guns to be offered including: A fine cased pair of 1920 Beesley Patent Action James Purdeys, a Diana Grade Browning superposed four gauge cased set, a pair of 202E superposed Gebruder Merkels , an 1885 Purdey self-opening sidelock, et cetra, along with a nice array of waterfowl decoys, animal mounts and sporting artwork. All-in-All it's shaping up to be something quite special. I hope that some of you can make it. Tip: Call ahead to reserve your spot for Friday night. There will also be a jewelry auction for the ladies on Saturday afternoon. There is no charge to attend any of the events. Telephone & Absentee bidding will also be available.

Best Regards, George
