Q would be 1938 proof date probably 1 of a pair, which seems to be a good sign of better quality. Any names on the gun? More pics?

Ah, bar stock could have been delivered but like Krupp, etc. All steel makers filed a trademark & then licensed a local steel concern to make the bar stock

JNO. HY. ANDREW & CO. LTD. TOLEDO STEEL WORKS SHEFFIELD Barrels on a Belgian gun is a sign of high quality, they are first rate quality and costs a bit more than Krupp in the same period.
A great looking quality gun.

Barrel length: 27.5", total gun weight: 7# 3oz. Choked +0.710 U and +0.689 O. From what I can see, hammers, ejector hammers, cocking dogs, all gold washed.
