Mike I bid all I could really afford....I knew when I saw it I had no chance in hell of getting it.

It's one of Scotts Best guns and in my oppinion ranks up there with any Purdey ever made. If I could afford to..I'd give those guys a run for their money, I might return it after a 3 day inspection if it's not mechanically up to par.

I've found that 27.5" barrels were very common on 12 ga. W & C Scott box locks and sidelocks after 1900.
