just saw an ad for a parker vh redone by bob lefever back in the seventies...over the years have seen other double guns redone by bob...all were well done...

and then there was brad belcher and babe delgrego..both of whom did nice work...

perhaps dave would consent to creating a new forum topic, where examples of the fine works of those who are no longer with us could be archived?

and then there was mitzie beiland...frank pachmayr, paul yeager and others...

thats bachelder, not belcher...

Brad Bachelder- NOT Belcher, you numbnutted idiot. He and I were good friends and hunting pals for some years, as well as being my trusted gunsmith and his shop and retail operation in Grand Rapids were the source of many of the side-by-side guns I have used afield going back maybe 30 years hand running. RWTF,
Brad restored an E grade, 16ga LeFever for me in 2016.
It was gorgeous. Never should have turned loose of that one.
I still have the before and after photos.

Well, Runs at the mouth, the ‘numbnutted idiot’ part was uncalled for. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black…..

it might work this way...

the forum heading could be called Doublegunsmith Hall Of Fame...

only dave could start a thread in that forum...

nominations could be put forth and seconded via a thread in BBS...

the posting of ten positive votes would trigger dave to start a new thread in the hall of fame forum...

then examples of a smiths achievements could be posted in the appropriate thread...by any member...

after a while, these threads would serve as a guide and reference to positive identification of work by the masters, sadly no longer with us...

right now, with out written documentation, its a guessing game...
