I do what KY Jon said. I would put a leather covered pad on it (probably over a KICK EEZ) is what I usually do. Then set the old original one aside. If you decide to sell it down the line the new owner will appreciate it. I never have any problems mounting a KICK EEZ pad. Good luck with a great gun, Colin 1949
Kick Ezz pads are "sticky". If you are a "mount move shooter" i.e. premount shooter they are fine & you won't have a problem but if you are a "move mount shooter" i.e low gun shooter IMHO they are prone to hanging up on the gunmount & I much prefer the Pachmayer SC 100.
As stated before I can't tell any difference in felt recoil between the 2 pads used on the same gun. Obviously leather covering the Kick Ezz will solve the "sticky" problem if the Kick Ezz works best for you in recoil reduction.
