Very cool that the W70 is back.
ISO SCHMISO. It's just another quality program. I worked QA from the layout table to the management and quality engineering for many yrs. But.....one does need a quality program when making manufactured products regardless of opinions here. Even the old hand crafted high end guns had a quality program...the journeyman/boss/shop foreman/owner/whoever, but they did checks of the same critical areas on all guns thru either checklists or by drawings. It's foolish to believe even the smallest shops didn't have notes or drawings to check to.
I had a 70's Rem 700 that was smooth as silk and had a great trigger that could be safely adjusted to about 2 lbs where it was set for the last 3 decades and never once AD'd during the 2000 plus rounds thru it. I bought a Rem 700 action about 6-7 yrs ago and found it so rough that I cut myself on it's edges. The trigger was very heavy and couldn't be adjusted low enough for my tastes. Sold it. The late Win 70 BOSS equipped, controlled round feed .264 that replaced it was a real nice part and will print with some target guns.
