I just bought the above gun. The 16 ga shotgun was built in 1954 in East Germany by Gebruder Merkel and has ejectors, not extractors. It was made for export. . The BBF was built by Krieghoff in Ulm in 1959 calibers 7X65R and 16Ga and it too has ejectors. The BBF has one rear claw mount base and two front claw mount bases. The current scope is a Hensholdt rail scope, variable power 1.5-6X. The second front claw base is forward of the current scope base and is currently unused. The BBF barrel and scope are marker F Schafhausen (retailer?) II've never seen a BBF with ejectors. How rare are they? I have a rear claw mount aperture sight that I'd like to install on a rear claw base in place of the unused front claw base. Also a taller front sight. The current front sight is a big shotgun bead.
