My most recent acquisition is a petite 16 gauge Greifelt underlever double with 29 1/2" barrels. The gun is in very high condition and with quite usable stock dimensions. The underlever doesn't seem to be under spring pressure and I question whether it is supposed to be that way. It is easy to hold the lever in closed position while shooting, but I would rather have it under spring pressure or at least with a detent to keep it in place. Should I have it examined by a good gunsmith or use it as is? Does anyone else own such a Greifelt?
