OSS is also an abbreviation for Open Source Software and Operational Support System, among other things.

Why do you feel entitled to take Ed to task for his attempt at humor, which I thought was much funnier than yours? It certainly does not appear that Ed was mocking any branch of military intelligence or special services. Don't you think it's time to quit playing Army?
