I think all they have done is put a coating on Hevi-shot and declared it safe for vintage guns.

I figure they got to be hurting after peeing on the Big Green ones leg. (Remington)

They were hoping you would buy some and test it for them using your vintage guns! At say 200 rounds per barrel this would be EXPENSIVE.

Perhaps price is the intended means of keeping usage so low that it will not damage the bores of vintage guns?

Has anyone seen it for re-loading? Has anyone seen Kent's TM available for reloading? Someone has to fill this void in the market left by Bismuth!!!!

The 65mm 28gm 12br Hevi-Shot cartridge might still be available from Lyalvale. They used to load it under license in the past.

There is an article on its' testing in the November issue of Wildfowl Magazine, in the Ballistics column written by L. P. Brezny. Interesting piece. He reported that it will be available eventually in all gauges from 12 thru .410 in shot size 4, 5 and 6. The mag is $5, but if you are considering $3 a pop for shells, no problem, eh?

The question that remains unanswered for me is . . . pressure. Soft shot may protect the barrel, but if we're talking SAAMI pressures, then it's not for a whole lot of vintage doubles. But since I seldom shoot nontox, it's not an issue for me--and I probably have enough of the Kent stuff, in 2 1/2" 12ga, to last me as long as I'll be shooting birds.
