Trying to understand "Robust-Ideals" - It looks they had a separate numbering system: Here are three examples. Can anyone explain this?

SN 5315. . . . . Model 274. . . . . .Robust Ideal with "trigger plate" under lever: this gun has an "Ideal" type under-lever. I believe was only pre-WWII:
