Well if it were my gun, I would only use stated low pressure, relatively light rounds in it. Not that worried about the barrels....more the effect of recoil on the action and the wood over time. Unless they have been previously lengthened, the chambers are most likely set up for 2 1/2" rounds, not 2 3/4" rounds.
