Thanks

Can you get the barrels off the gun? If not, remove the cover plate, and using a piece of wood, or a brass or copper non marring tool, push down on the seam where the cocking dogs meet the tumblers. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/99V519p/IMG-0325.jpg)

Thanks-I can get the barrels off the receiver. Then cock the gun on the edge of a wooden table, like a work bench, etc. Is there a reason (that you can tell) that the gun won’t cock with the barrels and forend attached?

i snapped the trigger with the bbls. removed. I cannot get the forend back on the the assembled receiver/bbl. I thought that the hammers down [action un-cocked] was preventing the forend attachment.

Did you get the tumblers cocked? All good now?

Looking for a screw driver that might fit the plate after I remove the trigger guard. Gun has not been apart before. Is this the only option?

AND often the ejector springs and sears are in the forearm.
Take the forearm wood off and recock the ejectors

No push the cocking levers against the edge of a bench.the cocking lever stick out at the joint then put the gun back together.

Or try fitting the fore end with the barrels hooked on but in the gaping position that reflects the gun at normal open gape. Pushing each lever against side of bench is the easiest.
