Goodness, more global warming. What is a more of a burning issue for me is....what do old gun guys shoot when lead is finally banned? We had bismuth for a while, and then "friendly shot". Tungsten matrix was another replacement mentioned for a while, but I believe it was too-hard for old guns? Where are we in the evolution of non-toxic shot these days? Tell me about it. What am I supposed to shoot through my Model 21s? And my Model 12s? I ain't that happy about it either. đ

Not too far from me, about 15 miles or so- about 10 years ago, a subdivision had a high content of lead in the soil in everyone's yard. Then they realized they had built that subdivision on a crop of land that was a skeet range back in the 50s and 60s. So the developer was responsible for digging up all the topsoil in the entire subdivision and replacing it. The developer wasn't too happy about it and neither were the residents. Not to mention the depreciation of their homes. Stuff like that happens, I guess. đ 10 years ago, eh? You expect us to believe the homes have âdepreciatedâ in the years since? Lead is like any other commodity, the price fluctuates, and that was either the dumbest developer in history, who didnât recover and sell the lead, or, he was deliberately hoodwinked by the people who permitted his planned construction. Little newsflash for you-lead/antimony alloy, as used in ammunition is incredibly stable, we dig up mini balls fired during the civil war that retain upwards of 90% of the original weight and mass after 160 years in the soil. The soil doesnât have a high content of lead, the pellets have a high content of lead. Iâll give you this-stupid happens, too. See it all the damn time. You check and see how the loons are doing? Probably none of the news that comes to your box in the living room told you that arctic sea ice is the fifth highest recorded since 2005, this year: free upload imagesMake note of it. Best, Ted

Nobody has answered my question......doesn't California have a statewide ban on using lead to take any wildlife? Or is that incorrect? Just asking. I think you might as well move to commiefornia. Youâd fit right in.

MPR is a bad version of Pravda. Duluth reminds me of Hammond, IN. but, next to a beautiful lake.
I donât know why anybody would live there.

Best, Ted Captain Renault: "And what in heaven's name brought you to Casablanca?" Rick Blaine: "My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters." Captain Renault: "The waters? What waters? We're in the desert." Rick Blaine: "I was misinformed."

Best, Ted Poor, clueless, and bitter Uncle Ted. I wish more people felt like you do. With lake-effect mild winters and milder summers, world class hunting and fishing, good food, great scenery, and plenty of things to do, yes, I can understand why you would not want to live there. So little to [censored - come on man!] and moan about. Carry on Ted. You are entertaining. https://destinationduluth.org/

Best, Ted And yet almost every day this winter ot was 5-10 F water up there than down hear and last summer 5-10 F cooler. We get -20 to -30 f here also. Not hardly the end of the world. I also neglected to mention a couple of decent gun dealers and gun shops as well. Dang it's starting to sound a little bit like Heaven.
