We have all taken shortcuts one time or another and for the vast majority of times never suffered as much as a scratch. But things like what happened to you should make us all stop and think. I know I have taken way too many chances with small boats, in nasty conditions, when hunting, too many chances with power and even hand tools doing things I knew were not really smart or safe. And for the most part gotten away with things. The rest did require stitches but nothing more major than a bit of healing and a tetanus shot. Sorry for our injury and hope for a full recovery in time.
