No he did not. No goose was killed.

And I would love to look down those bores carefully.

Darn! I've been using plastic wads with smokeless and black powder in damascus guns for over 40 years. It is very disheartening to learn I am endangering myself and potentially hurting the guns I own. Holy crap, what a joke!

Without wasting more time on the idiot in the video, what do you put between your plastic wad and the powder? I have melted way too much plastic doing that. Even with a nitro wad in the middle I melt a lot of powder. I would love to know what you are doing. And which wads?

I use a Fiocchi 2 3/4 plastic clear case for 12 gauge with 75gr of Swiss 1 1/2 black powder a thin overshot wad over the powder then a Win AA red wad then shot and then a six pointed crimp. I use a Mec 600 single stage press and you have to slowly in stages lift and lower the handle at the final crimp station in order not to crush the bottom of the case. I'm getting 1175 f.p.s.
Yes, there is more plastic fouling but the loads perform well at clays and live birds. I regularly run 25 straight at skeet with this load.

I've tried similar loads and not succeeded. Maybe I need to try again. The amount of plastic I got the last time was daunting. I don't know how the shot squeezed down the tube it was so bad.

Out of an open choked gun I can shoot 15 shells in each barrel then I have to run a brush down the bore with hot water. Only takes 30 seconds. I will alternate smokeless with black powder if I want to complete a round of skeet without cleaning.
